- A dot distrobution map is to portray quantitative data as a dot which represents a number of the phenomenon found within the boundary of a geographic area. The pattern of distributed dots reflects the general locations where the phenomenon was most likely to occur.- This map is the 2000 popultion distrobution map for the United States. Every dot represents 7,500 people. ( if you don't like a lot of people move to the middle north west : )
